A Creative Culinary Service

Island Larder is your partner in thoughtfully prepared foods which celebrate changing eating habits towards a more healthful, sustainable diet for you and those you love. As a purposefully small operation on Bainbridge Island, I am able to accommodate special diets and personal preferences.

Sourcing Ingredients

Flavor and nutrition depend on high quality ingredients. As a discerning shopper, I will buy within your budget for your weekly meals. Town and Country Markets offer most of what we need, and local farm purchases and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) memberships are encouraged.  When available, herbs and produce from my garden or yours brings us even closer to the source.

Pantry Cooking

Going to your pantry doesn’t have to mean opening store-bought cans and boxes. This salad started with marinated runner beans, local pickled quail eggs and pickled fennel made to store in your fridge until the time is right. With all the available choices for fresh produce, proteins, and cheeses, the variety of dishes at your fingertips are endless. Let me help you enhance your creative cooking potential.
